Just bought it
By JIMIN(Owner), Oct. 2, 2012have not used it yet wondering the tons per hour rating. this class of machine should be around 65 tons per hour. hoping for the best:) -
It works but not as easily as you'd think.
By Lupin(Owner), Dec. 27, 2012The weight balance is perfect with almost all the weight on the traction wheels. It is easy to push down on the handles and lift the front so you can maneuver quickly. Unfortunately that means there is too little weight on the front edge and you must lift on the handles while using it to clean the snow down to the driveway. Frustrating. (The shoes are set correctly) I will add a 30 pound bar to the front of the auger housing and see if it makes a difference.
The heated grips are nice. You really need the heat since the drive lever requires a death grip squeeze to keep the wheels engaged. The remote control chute lever is difficult to move and turn side to side. I have to stand along side the unit and pull the trigger while moving the chute with my hand.
All in all it is a good unit. Not great but good. It does throw the snow and that is what I need.
