A very solid snowblower.
By Snowchucker(Owner), Dec. 7, 2011Living in rural ND, a strong snowblower is necessary. I have a large area to deal with and a section of road that drifts heavily. I did a little online research and decided that the 945SWE was what I needed for my situation. Having had it through a few snowstorms now and having used it through fairly heavy snow (24" drifting) I am comfortable saying that this is the easiest snowblowerthat I've ever used. It is large and heavy, however, the power steering and simple controls make it a breeze to handle. Traction is good, the dual wheels do seem to make a difference compared to smaller single models that I have used. It easily cuts 2 feet of snow and will do it a a walking pace. It throws snow 40+ feet with ease. The only changes that I could suggest would be a single point chute control and possibly a V-twin engine (although I really have not ran into any power issues, just a fan of slightly overkill engineering) . This is a very well built snowblower. It is easily servicable and should give many years of use. If you have a large area to clear and a lot of snow annually this snowblower should be at the top of your list. The other 45" models that I looked at had slightly different build sheets and could not match CubCadet in the warranty department. -
NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS
By Michael Pete(Owner), Mar. 16, 2014I purchased a cub 945swe snow blower in 2013 and it keeps shredding drive belts. No one can figure out why and cub cadet has no answers. So it sits and I use my 20 year old MTD.
